SPACE ARTEFACTS, compiles a collection of XIV inhabitable, artificial structures, with diverse uses, initially designed to compete in international competitions, or real world competitions, of multiform architectural ideas, (located in different cities of the planet Earth), resulting finally masked, in a certain way disguised or concealed, to be imagined, transported, even later constructed, with a peaceful character, outside the terrestrial environment.
A monograph that is structured as a ``mass storage magnetic disk'', initially fragmented into two ``units'', (A and B), whose recorded information aspires to form part of an even larger infrastructure.
Both ``units'' are in turn structured in two ``tracks'': (ALPHABETA: calligraphic method based on the classical Greek alphabet and AUREBESH: writing system used to transcribe the Star Wars language), whose phonetic signs are used in this work to name each of the respective ``sectors'' into which these ``tracks'' are divided, in an attempt to construct, through architectural and pictorial hieroglyphs, two new invented language systems.
Among these innovative and daring prototypes, we will distinguish chronologically the first, an essay or creative experiment, "AUREK", carried out in 1996. A real commission was requested from Rem Koolhaas, (Office for Metropolitan Architecture), company in which I had the honour of being part of his technical staff.
This exhibition continues (specifically in the summer of 2019) with my proposal, "FORN", for the "International Architecture Competition for the Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, (Euskadi - Spain). A restricted competition whose prize was awarded to Norman Foster Associates.
Another extraordinary competition, this time in Tartu, Estonia (2023), is also to be highlighted in this exhibition: A project that contemplates a Cultural Centre, whose solution is based on a spatial subtraction combined with a programmatic superposition: ``GREK''.
This configuration will be completed at the end of 2023 with the ``ETA'' project, another incredible ideas competition for the design and construction of a ``house of the future'' located in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
